Warranty Terms for Road Service/House call repairs
If you are looking for us to service your machine for the first time please,
take the time to read & understand this webpage.
A majority of the machines we go out "on call" to service these days are now at the
least 15+ years old. First & foremost the manufactures & designers never really designed/built these types of machines to be
around this long! All these years later the machines has seemed to outlive their manufacture! These machines do require
some type of preventive maintenance from time to time during their use. Which is very often overlooked until the machine stops
working. Even the most thoroughly "gone through"
machine can develop a problem prematurely. There is just no "crystal ball" to know how long a machine will function like it
should....With this being said, Home Arcade Repair Services does strive for 100% customer satisfaction!
I never really know what I am going up against when I come out to a "new customer" service call until
I arrive and view the machine.
Because of what I come up against while trying to repair these types of machines "on the road" these days.
I have refined/implemented the following "Limited Warranty Guidelines" as shown below. This warranty replaces any prior warranties
given by us.
By scheduling an appointment and subsequent repair completion will automatically abide you to the warranty
terms expressed here. This warranty is subject to change without notice.
The Basics
1. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE ENTIRE DEVICE FROM A RECENT SERVICE CALL VISIT.
2. The warranty will only cover itemized work performed on said invoice or bill.
3. The warranty will pertain only to the customer named on said invoice/bill. This
is a non-transferable warranty.
4. If replacement lamps (of any kind) are used due to there unpredictability they are
NOT covered under warranty.
5. If the device(s) are moved from original location where serviced be it same building
or moved to another location. Then fails to work properly immediately NULL/VOIDS this warranty.
(We cannot control how properly or carefully the device(s) were moved.)
6. If it is deemed that someone other than Home Arcade Repair Services has attempted
there own repairs after a visit during the 30 day period immediately voids your warranty.

Pure Mechanical (Electro-Mechanical) Pinball Machines & Shuffle Alleys 1977-78 &
Back: Due to the age of this technology and the unpredictabilty of these types of games we no longer are able
to warranty onsite repairs of these types of games. If your repair was a in-shop full machine refurbishment job we will cover
the refurbished mechanicals for 30 calendar days upon repair completion.
Onsite Electronic Pinball 1977-Present /Shuffle Alley (Bowlers) 1977-1990 & Coin-Operated
Type Video Games:We will cover for 30 calendar days work that was performed while at the residence.
This will only pertain to the premature failure of:

New component/components that were replaced during the visit on a particular
circuit board(s), playfield/control panel mechanical parts-excluding lamps.

Any exchanged/replaced as-is working used unrefurbished
circuit board(s), playfield/control panel mechanical parts used in the repair come with no
warranty expressed or implied.

Any exchanged/replaced refurbished used game
components come with a 30 day warranty from date of install or repair completion.

New aftermarket replacement: CPU/MPU boards, power supplies, (when available
or used in the repair) & monitors come with a warranty of their own. And, those warranties will be honored by Home
Arcade Repair Services following the policies created/offered by that manufacturer/distributor in question.
New or used "customer supplied" parts installed by Home Arcade Repair Services
come with no warranty offered by us. We will not be liable for any failures of a part or part(s) supplied
by a customer who has requested to us to install part(s) that they purchased "on there own". If any subsequent
damage to the machine occurs thereafter we will not be held responsible in any way.
Games sold by Home Arcade Repair Services: We warranty our refurbished games
for 30 days from delivery date (we deliver in our normal service area only). If you reside outside of our stated service
area & you opt to pick-up the machine yourself we will be unable to come to you. We just cannot control how carefully
the machine is transported once it leaves our hands. With our guidance, you may need to make adjustments on your own if need
be. We will do our best to help you with a problem via/telephone or email conversation. Otherwise, if you do not feel comfortable
doing such you will need to find someone in your area capable of helping you at your cost. All sales of
refurbished games no matter the condition are final.
Due to the unpredictability of
amusement devices: Any additional problems or failures that may result that are unrelated to the original
repair(s) are NOT covered. This also includes any failure of a part or parts associated with a part that was replaced
be it a mechanical or electronic part. Items warranted are specific to the initial repairs performed only. After communication
about a possible problem after a visit in the 30 day time frame Home Arcade Repair Services does reserve the right to
decide if the problem is of a warranty related issue or not. Our decision in the matter is final.
Warranty requests for return visit: Requests for a return visit to correct/repair
any new problems found during the warranty period. Again, unrelated to the original repairs performed will be considered
a "NEW INVOICE" for that repair with Travel, Labor & any parts costs applied to the current rate or rate you were charged
which is clearly shown on the prior invoice.
If any problems arise with work that was performed by us in the 30 day time frame YOU MUST
CONTACT Home Arcade Repair Services within that 30 day time frame for this warranty to be honored to the above warranty
terms shown above. If you realize there is a possible warranty related problem during the 30 day period and you fail to contact
us then time has lapsed your warranty request will not be honored- "30 days means 30 days". Unfortunately, comments
like: "I/we meant to call you" or, "we haven't used the machine since you came out 30 days ago" etc. are not acceptable
and will not be honored.
I would find it hard to believe that someone would pay to have their machine serviced then, not use it,
especially 30 days later.
